Terms of Service
Last updated: March 8, 2026
By using DirectAdminHosting.com ("we", "us", "our") services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Service Description
DirectAdminHosting.com provides shared web hosting, domain registration, and related services. We use DirectAdmin as our hosting control panel and maintain our servers to provide reliable, high-performance hosting.
2. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use our services to:
- Host, distribute, or link to malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operate mailing lists without proper opt-in
- Host phishing sites or engage in fraudulent activity
- Store or distribute content that infringes on copyrights or trademarks
- Host content that is illegal under Canadian or applicable law
- Run cryptocurrency mining operations
- Use excessive server resources that negatively impact other users on shared hosting
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
4. Resource Usage (Shared Hosting)
Our shared hosting plans are designed for standard website hosting. While we offer "unlimited bandwidth" on qualifying plans, all accounts are subject to our fair use policy. Activities that consume excessive CPU, memory, or I/O resources to the detriment of other users may be restricted. We will contact you before taking any action whenever possible.
5. Payment & Billing
- All prices are listed in the currency shown at checkout
- Payments are processed securely via Stripe
- Hosting invoices are generated according to your billing cycle (monthly, semi-annual, or annual)
- Accounts with unpaid invoices may be suspended after a grace period
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice; existing plans are honoured until renewal
6. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
New hosting accounts are eligible for a full refund within 30 days of the initial purchase. This applies to hosting plans only — domain registrations, transfers, and renewals are non-refundable as they are processed by third-party registrars. To request a refund, contact support.
7. Uptime Guarantee
We guarantee 99.9% network uptime. This does not include scheduled maintenance (which will be announced in advance), force majeure events, or issues caused by your own code or configuration. If we fail to meet this guarantee, you may request a service credit for the affected period.
8. Backups
We perform regular server-level backups as a courtesy, but these are not guaranteed. You are ultimately responsible for maintaining your own backups. DirectAdmin provides backup tools, and we recommend downloading backups to your local computer regularly.
9. Domain Registration
Domain registrations are subject to the policies of the respective registry and our registrar partners. Domain registration fees are non-refundable. You are responsible for renewing your domains before expiration. We will send renewal reminders but cannot guarantee delivery of these notices.
10. Account Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms of Service or our Acceptable Use Policy
- Your account remains unpaid beyond the grace period
- Your account is used for illegal activity
- We receive a valid legal order requiring us to do so
You may cancel your account at any time through the client portal. We recommend downloading a backup before cancellation.
11. Data & Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We take data security seriously and comply with Canadian privacy legislation (PIPEDA).
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DirectAdminHosting.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DirectAdminHosting.com, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services, your content, or your violation of these terms.
14. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on our website at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Alberta.
